Since buying the original Amazon Kindle about a year ago,
I've probably read four times as many books as in the previous
three years combined. The Kindle 2 has much better ergonomics,
preventing you from accidentally scrolling ahead every time
you pick up the device, and it syncs your library not only to your
Kindle but also to your iPhone.
With Amazon's free app, you can read a book on your iPhone
on the commuter train, and when you're reading in bed later
that night, the Kindle 2 will know where you stopped
on your phone and pick it up from there.
Plus, if you're too bushed to read yourself, the Kindle 2
will read many (but not all) books to you in a decent,
if not soothing, electronic voice.
